St. Thomas Church is joyfully preparing for the Marian Feast, which will take place on May 26th, beginning at 5:30 pm. This significant celebration is part of the broader tradition of dedicating the month of May to Mary, the Mother of Jesus, with various devotions and expressions of reverence.
Throughout May, our parish community at St. Thomas has engaged in a heartfelt practice of taking statues of Mother Mary from house to house. Each evening, families have gathered to pray the Rosary, uniting in devotion and fostering a deep sense of community and faith. This beautiful tradition not only honors Mary but also strengthens the bonds among our parishioners.
The culmination of these devotions will be the grand Marian Feast on the 26th. The celebration will feature a solemn procession from St. Thomas Church to the Mirihana Police Grounds. Parishioners are encouraged to join this procession, which will be adorned with flags and lanterns, creating a visually stunning tribute to our Blessed Mother.
We invite everyone to join us on this special day. The procession will be a beautiful display of faith and devotion, symbolizing our collective love and honor for Mary. As we walk together, we will reflect on her role in our faith and seek her intercession for our needs and the needs of our community.
Mark your calendars for this significant event. Let us come together as one community to honor the Blessed Mother and celebrate the Marian Feast with heartfelt devotion and unity.

Join us for this beautiful day to honor our Blessed Mother. Together, let us celebrate the Marian Feast with reverence, joy, and community spirit.
The Marian Devotion is a very important and powerful devotion to the community of Kotte. Over the many years I personally have seen and experienced Blessed Mothers love and grace on the families who devotedly accepts Mother Mary’s Statue to their homes. The many petitions granted are testimonies worth hearing and documenting.
